Projects at the annual CANstruction competition are currently on display at the cruise ship terminal at Canada Place. The 'food raiser' for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank features 27 sculptures — including Treasure Island, created by Signals Design and Coast Paper — and are built from non-perishable food donations. Nearly, 100,000 cans were collected this year. (Vancouver Sun caption)
That is awesome! I have a new desktop wallpaper. What food product are the coins/treasure?
ReplyDeleteThat is really cool! Congratulations on making the paper! That's a great team shot, too.
ReplyDeleteThe island is made out of candy (gold coins, wrapepd candies). A big percentage of the foodbank users are kids under 12 -- and of course -- they need some treats too.
