Treasure Island by Signals Design and Coast Paper

Projects at the annual CANstruction competition are currently on display at the cruise ship terminal at Canada Place. The 'food raiser' for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank features 27 sculptures — including Treasure Island, created by Signals Design and Coast Paper — and are built from non-perishable food donations. Nearly, 100,000 cans were collected this year. (Vancouver Sun caption)

That is awesome! I have a new desktop wallpaper. What food product are the coins/treasure?

That is really cool! Congratulations on making the paper! That's a great team shot, too.

The island is made out of candy (gold coins, wrapepd candies). A big percentage of the foodbank users are kids under 12 -- and of course -- they need some treats too.
